Our Program
Driver education package: Indiana approved online driver education course + 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction $385.00
This includes a 30 hour online classroom and 6 one hour in vehicle drives with a licensed instructor. Enrollment is made on-line at Indydriversedge.com. Once the student has completed the 30 hours of on-line classroom, you must present your completion certificate from the online class. You may enroll/register on-line through our web site and make payment. We will issue a CDE form to obtain the driver education permit.

6 Hours behind the wheel only. Once the student has completed the 30 hours of on-line instruction, you must present the completion certificate from the online class. You may enroll/register on-line through our web site and make payment online prior to scheduling In car instruction. No drives will be allowed until we receive the required paperwork.

If you have completed the 6 hours of driving and classroom with us, then you can complete you state required driving examination with us.

When can I get my permit?
You have to first be enrolled in a Driver’s Ed program and be at least 15 years old.
If I take drivers ed, when can I get my license?
You qualify for your probationary driver’s license at 16 and 90 days with the completion of drivers ed.
What if I don’t take drivers ed?
You will have to wait till you are 16 and 9 months and have held your permit for at least 180 days.
Will I get a discount on insurance for taking drivers ed?
Most insurance companies will give a 10% discount. Check with your insurance agent.
How long do I have to finish the classroom?
120 days.
Who are we?
My name is Stephen Tillery. I am a lifelong resident of Indiana. I am the owner of Drivers Edge.
I am a Ben Davis HS Alumni.
I am a retired teacher.
I have been a licensed Driver's Ed instructor for 25 years.
I got my BS at Indiana University in Exercise Science/Social Studies/Health.
I was also a Big Ten athlete.

ALL SERVICES ARE DONE ON A PRE-PAID BASIS. We accept checks or cash.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES:

One hour private driving instruction for teenager not enrolled in a Driver Education
Program. These drives are not related to the Driver Education Program.
Additional Fees:
You do not show up for your schedule drive time. $ 30.00
Drives that are NOT re-scheduled 72 hours in advance. $ 20.00
You show up and do not have your permit with you. $ 20.00
Charge for checks that are returned due to insufficient funds. $ 25.00
Replacement certificate for Completion of Driver Education. $ 10.00

Permit Notice
If a student does not complete the entire driver education course within a timely manner as decided upon by Indy Drivers Edge Driver Education (1 year from registration), the student will have their permit expired at the BMV. Once a permit is expired, you are no longer a driver education student and are dismissed from the program. Indy Drivers Edge Driver Education reserves the right to no longer provide any further service and all payments for service are forfeited.
